The great day dedicated to my Josephine…for her healing days.

It snuck up on me without any warning.

The “knowing“ that,  today right now…

Was going to be a great day…

This morning.

All the cares and worries of the past

Are no longer mine

They can not last.

I will tell you why,

In case you don`t know.

Or you have forgotten

or have stepped out  of the flow?

The love  of  Source

Creator of All

Is ours  to  tap into

It is at our beck and call.

It snuck up on me without any warning.

The “knowing“ that,  today right now…

Was going to be a great day…

This morning.

There maybe times throughout the day

When I am out of sorts

When I forget to say

Thanks Creator, for the Love Divine.

For teaching me I can start my day over

Any time.

I close my eyes

I visualize

10252011_595874077177997_269356800232239380_nAll the love from the Mountain of God

Flowing into me

As a fresh

renewing stream of water

Cooling

Clearing

Cleansing

Creating

Cuddling

Comforting

Caressing

Calming

Confirming

Congratulating

Me

for just being

Me.

Accepting

Approving

Admiring

Allowing

Me

to be just

Me.

I am Soul.

I am free.

I bask in the glow of the love

For as long as I want.

Slowly, I return to the present.

Renewed

Rejuvenated

Recharged

Roaring

This is one great day.

It snuck up on me without any warning.

The “knowing“ that,  today right now…

Was going to be a great day…

This morning.

The story behind the poem:  A dear friend of mine who is a country music fan fell at Randy Travis’s concert in Grande Prairie the year this was written.  She was not drinking.  She slipped in the washroom after the concert.  She “broke her neck”.   Friends were accustomed to the long loo line-ups and did not think anything of  her being delayed.   They were outside having a cigareete.  After, an extended wait…they went into the loo and found her on the floor bleeding.  Ambulance called….air shipped out to the major city hospital and months in a halo….healing.  There was great concern because of the delay of her falling and getting attention to her healing.
When I wrote this poem for her it was not known when the “halo” would come off and when she could be independent for her own care. Today, with thanks to the Creator, she is as vibrant as ever.  Serving the Creator and the community she lives in. She still loves Randy Travis and his music.
I have added the artistry of Colin Hall to the revised and updated poem.

    1. So glad you liked it. It was quite the experience. The words flowed, spelling bad the whole creative flow and then when it was edited and sent for publishing the tears flowed….how exciting to be part of the creative processes eh?
