Morning thunder

I remember those

bygone mornings

with thunder in my head

I could not remember

where I had been,

who I was with,

and for certain not what I had said.

I no longer dance

with demon rum,

nor his enticing friend whisky.

I can be myself with laughter

replacing the thunder mornings instead.

Now the thunder in my morning

Is a wondrous electrical storm.

I watch it out my window

whilst I stay safe and warm.

The thunder in my spirit dances now with glee

As I watch the Creator dancing in lightning across the sky.

Oh,  yes,  the thunder morning of a storm  truly beckons me !

Tsunami of Spirit ~ MaryHelen Ferris

Ocean Sunset

March 11, 2008 by Spirit

The desire for healing washed over me.
It took me by force.
It overwhelmed me.
It washed away the fear, the anger.
I was caught in the tunnel.
I swore it came from within me.
I swore it came from Above.
It cleansed me,  I felt freedom at last.
All of the burdens,
All my shame,  and all of the guilt from  the past
Were gone !
Thank you for the Love
You stored in Soul.
Thanks for the Tsunami of Spirit.
It cleansed my Temple
It made me whole.
Now,  as I lay,  on the beach of Remembering
The gentle lapping of the Ways and Waves of your Love;
Take me to the Shore of Surrender.
This moment of Serenity is Mine.
I can come here for renewal anytime.
You are always and all ways healing me.
Thank you.
I can rest now.
The love of this moment is mine to share.
Thanks for your kindness and being there.
I am that child You created.
I am washed in the Ocean’s Roar.
I am addicted to Serenity.
Oh, I want more !

The perfect storm within is dying….

I, no longer, need to be perfect.

I, no longer need, to be your bank.

I, no longer need, to be your fixer.

I do desire, however, to enjoy the storms

On  a summer day

To watch the Sunlight of the Spirit

Have its way.

The perfect storm within is dying

I am enjoying life without the trying.

I am, now, acknowledging that

I am happy, joyous and free.

You are no longer my addiction

It no longer “sucks to be me”.

The perfect storm within is dying.

How do you count blessings

How do you  find the courage

To move beyond the day-to-day

To embrace things that open your heart in a special way.

The blessings and the magic does abound

It comes to me through the light and sound.

The music

of the furnace

as it cuts in to give me warmth

with the hum of the refrigerator

(footsteps of the family climbing up the stairs

bring joys to me of which they are unaware)

adding the sound of the traffic on the street

as the opening of the concert.

The pelting rain now begins

calling in

the sound of the wind

in the pine.

The thunder joins  in the chorus

inviting his partner

Madam Lightening to be her brazen self.

I enjoy basking

in the sounds

of the moments of a spring day.

Leaving thoughts of the income tax filing,

budgets, time schedules  and cares on the shelf.

How do you count your blessings

Do you begin with the fact you are alive

and have the challenges you have created.

Or are you stuck in the sorrow

and loss of things not anticipated

The attitude of gratitude

can move you into action

To count your blessings anyway

Even when not every thing is to your satisfaction.

Start counting up your blessings

In a moment you will see

The cares will not be so heavy weighing you down

You can be happy, joyous and free.
