Winter rainbows…artistry of Colin Hall on the Creator’s palette

644336_524652887633450_151888365_n (1)Often,  I need a rainbow to brighten up my day…

When the snow clouds and the blizzards have had their windy play.

I  can come into the livingroom where my lovely prism sits

To join in with the dancing beams of light as they pirouette and do the splits.

All the colours of the rainbow dance across my room.

They climb the walls  dashing brightly around my house banishing winter’s gloom.

They remind of the rainbows I saw dancing across the snow in my friend’s photos about a week ago. 1472988_524255254339880_1946828077_n

How blessed I am to know the beauty of the rainbows’ as they dance within my heart, reminding me of the Creator’s presence from which I never have to part.

This knowledge of the love of Creator gives my life a glow…

Like the winter rainbows that  I have come to know.

The Dancer’s Star Blanket

Blue Star Quilt

Across the ages she has come

to dance, to love and laugh

“Her laughter,” the old ones say “is too loud.

Her feet do not pound the earth as others do.”

But her heart dances on

and she gives the love

Keeping her promise is all that she knew.

She needed to learn more.

She thirsted for the knowledges

in every leaf and rock.

She annoyed every one

with her searching for the search.

She burped and farted…they mocked.

No one ever knew

the courage it took to ask.

No one ever knew

her deep love for Mother Earth.

No one ever knew

her deep abiding love

for the Creator.

Until they saw her last dance.

She knew.

She laughed.

She burped and she farted.

When the competition was over…

The young ones, were surprised

that they were asked to join

in the making of her star blanket.

The old ones, smiled and said…

“Just because she did not win in the competition

Does not mean, that the prayers stop.”

The blanket was made amid laughter and tears.

They knew she was dying…there was no fear.

When the time comes

the old dancer will be wearing

her star blanket

as she dances her way home.

Away, I must away…in my body I cannot stay !!! dedicated to Isabel Jennicka

Away,

away,

 Soul it  is at play.

Spirit always finds a way.

Away,

away,

I must away…

In my body I cannot stay.

I must go beyond the stars…

To the place of flamenco dancers,

harmonicas and spanish guitars.

I want to see on this special night

All the Souls as they are in flight.

The gathering of my clan..

I am there in Spirit

Not merely as an also ran.

Wild women of song…who embrace the wind when we hear it.

Bonfire

I have laid my cares on love’s pillow.

I am gone away to dance with the willows.

It is my duty to pound the earth with my feet.

I must awaken all creatures and  others I greet.

We must sing, dance, drum and capture the love of Spirit.

We the wild women of song, who embrace the wind when we hear it.

We will untie Mother Earth from the bondage of men.

With our love, over and over and over again.

Shall we dance sisters?

Shall we drum?

Shall we do the duty

For which we have come?

Come, dear Sisters, I have lit the fire.

Bring the others, when it is their desire.

Bring them back to the words of old.

Bring them back to the stories of gold.

Bring them back to the water pure.

We can bring them.

Love is the cure.

Thank you for morning light

that dances through

the prism on my window sill.

Thank you for the long  night

of learning through

bending to your will.

The weather is -24 below C

I have wonderful places to go.

With the travel on my keyboard

I can learn,  love,  listen , with one accord.

I love the cold of winter

 all that the isolation teaches.

The gathering of friends

around my fire

Which is ignited and burns brightly

when I heed my Creator’s desire.

I am learning so many things

about laughter and love.

I respect the lessons often delivered

in a steel fist covered by a velvet glove

I long to be the bamboo,

flexible, resilient, growing fast

However, I live in the land

of the solid, slow-growing study pine.

That I believe is one

of the reasons

I am learning online.

I love:

the rainbows

of the prisms ,

the rainbows

of the  people

dancing in my life

I am so appreciative

of the teachers

who keep smiling

through their strife.

After living in other countries back in my youth

I appreciate my freedoms here in Canada

I could search out my own truth.

I have clean running water.

Breath-able air, freedoms of choice

I am able to sit in the silence

of the isolation of winter

to hear your sweet voice.

Morning thunder

I remember those

bygone mornings

with thunder in my head

I could not remember

where I had been,

who I was with,

and for certain not what I had said.

I no longer dance

with demon rum,

nor his enticing friend whisky.

I can be myself with laughter

replacing the thunder mornings instead.

Now the thunder in my morning

Is a wondrous electrical storm.

I watch it out my window

whilst I stay safe and warm.

The thunder in my spirit dances now with glee

As I watch the Creator dancing in lightning across the sky.

Oh,  yes,  the thunder morning of a storm  truly beckons me !
