The Pit
Although the seasons
Come and go,
I pray that my sobriety
Will constantly grow.
For years on end
I’ve tried to quit,
To pull myself out
Of that deep, dark pit.

I thought they would be planting seeds or something.

The arrival of spring
means many things.
Awakening of the earth

The desire for healing washed over me.
It took me by force.
