The girl’s were getting together to “dish the dirt“
I thought they would be planting seeds or something.
They were.
They were gossiping…seeds of ‘dirt’about another Soul.
When day is done they put our ashes in dirt.
We cleanse our Soul to release the dirt.
We pray.
Do our step work and take the dirt
To our sponsor and release to our Higher [...]

I found a smile on my pillow.
This morning, I found a smile on my pillow.
I was positive I would not smile again.
Then the gratitude of your love nudged me awake.
I began my day with a bountiful heart
Filled with the memories of your loving ways.
All the distance between us was gone.

The phone call came one week ago.
Mother had gone.
We all would show
her our love
our devotion
our love for each other.
We will miss you, our beloved Mother.
The arrangements were lovely.
Most of the family came.
We were all on our best behaviours
We loved in your name.
Your dearest sister, the last of the clan
Reached out to all of us
As [...]

I have surrendered all that I am
To the great I am.
That is the only way

Today, it the beginning of a journey
I never ever wanted to make.
A day without you.
A day without the family surrounding each other.
A day that alternately swoops over me.
A day that sustains me.
A windy cold day [...]

If I were to be walking
Across a field of snow,
How would one know by the marks
I make
how long it took to go?
How many birds
I saw
Along the way
The songs they sang
To beg me stay?
How many rabbits
Bounded across my path?
The funny things
They made me laugh.
How many deer
Stood to look
Stood and stood
Until they shook?
No one would ever know
How [...]

“Daddy, I will miss you
It is time for you to go
My tears they are for ‘happy’
I just want you to know.
I see the angels coming
They want you to be in peace
I release you now my Daddy.”
Then, the little girl bowed her head.
“If you miss me too much Daddy
As I am going to miss your touch
Just [...]
