Today
while adjusting
to the business
of busy-ness
Soul was touched by love.
(While working
on a project
at a distance
with time zones
conflicts,
deadlines with consequences
through all that life can bring)
There was a pause
in the day
as I was pacing
looking out the window
my heart began to sing.
At the end of the garden
there was a pool of water
formed from the ice
that the sun had melted
I spotted it.
In the middle
of the long distance
call I yelled
Oh, dear heart, there are 9482 birds
having a bath in the middle of a winter day.
The delight was so profound
we switched from working on the project
to talking of the light and sound.
Thank you,
Creator of All
for the birds…
.for the
touch of love
in my life,
in my heart,
in Soul
in the day.
