There are many sounds
that enable Soul to rejoice.
The sacred song,
a chirping bird,
your name in your beloved`s voice.
One of the most majestic sounds
that has recently been given to me
Is the sound of the beloved….snoring….
gently in the arms of the dream Master…in sleep.
I have traveled near and far.
Always looking, listening for the sound
that would resonate within.
Something to soothe me to sleep.
I never heard it…
always knowing how and what it would sound.
Then, I heard it,
while reading to you from our sacred book.
I stopped reading…
filled with the wonder of this sound
that I had been wanting to hear for so long.
This has been for me the greatest gift.
I, who never sleep, more than two or three hours…
now languishing in your arms.
Sleeping deeply singing within….
dancing to the sacred song….
my heart skipping along to the sound of your snore.
Such a simple loving sound.
It cannot be bought.
It cannot be sold.
This gift of listening to the sacred sound
you make while sleeping is so delightful.
I thank you beloved friend
for the greatest Christmas present ever.
