The song of songs was written on Soul.

It is what carries one through.

It is what makes one whole.

The song of songs it comes to me:

In the sound of the furnance

In the sounds of traffic

In the joy of the morning sun.

In the dance of the Northern Lights.

In the laughter of the child

In the song bird in the tree.

The song of songs it floats along

On melodies of love.

It is in the sound of silence.

In the hum of ocean.

In the snow falling on the pines.

Author’s note:

Many years ago, I would travel on the highway in winter….  To attend the singing of Soul’s song with other seekers.

We met in the music room of a college with the most wonderful acoustics. We traveled through the song to Soul’s delight.

As wonderful as it was to share with others:  I would relish the many miles in the dark of winter stopping to listen to the sound of snow falling  (in the middle of  fifty miles of forest I traveled on my way home).

I lived in a little town called Spirit River.  When I went to my first seminar in 1989 I wrote my name on the  tag….back then they asked you to write your hometown/country.  I wrote the name for my local town in  the name that it was known.   So my tag read, Mary Helen from Spirit.
